U.S.S. Britannic is a Long Island-based Star Trek (and other forms of Sci-Fi) fan club and is proud to be a member of Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. This chapter, located in Region 7, is set during the Star Trek: Picard timeline. On U.S.S. Britannic, you create the persona of a Starfleet officer serving on a starship where you will meet new friends and engage in the many activities our chapter, Region and organization has to offer. We host monthly chapter meetings and participate in such events as film fests, BBQ’s, movies, parties, trips to NYC, gaming, and of course- gathering in uniform for local as well as out-of-state conventions.
Membership on the U.S.S. Britannic is open to personnel who are from the Long Island, NY area and is absolutely free, though you must be a paid member of Starfleet: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. An annual fee for individuals and families gives you membership in Starfleet International and all its benefits. Free membership on U.S.S. ADAM NIMOY IN PERSON
with a screening of his documentary, For the Love of Spock, and a discussion of his new memoir, The Most Human: Reconciling with My Father, Leonard Nimoy
Adam Nimoy, son of the legendary Leonard Nimoy - who played the beloved Star Trek character of Spock in TV and blockbuster movies - comes to the Cinema Arts Centre in person to screen his remarkable documentary, For Love of Spock, and discuss his revealing new memoir, The Most Human: Reconciling with My Father, Leonard Nimoy. Adam will recount the backstory to the making of the film, with its rich array of fascinating clips and interviews that cover his father's seven-decade, multifaceted career, as well as the secret to Spock’s world-wide appeal. But he’ll also discuss how his father was long a total stranger to him - as inscrutable as the iconic half-Vulcan science officer he portrayed on Star Trek - as well how they ultimately managed to transcend a tumultuous relationship with determination and love.
